Offering hope and providing services and support for the homeless

Shekinah House currently offers the following services:

  • Shower and laundry facilities especially but not limited to those who are sleeping rough. Towels and toiletries provided
  • Sunday night evening meals (3 course dine in service).
  • Clothing
  • Sleeping bags and blankets
  • Tents, camp stretchers and sleeping mats
  • Fresh fruit (daily), bottled water, snacks for people sleeping rough.
  • Referrals to other services and support.
  • Food and Facilities flyer (printed flyer distributed locally with up-to-date information on where to access basic provisions locally).
  • Access to a Post Office Box for mail delivery for those without a postal address
  • Emergency Relief Provisions included but not limited to:
    • Food hampers
    • Toiletries
    • Pet food
    • Essential household items
  • Launceston bakery run (bakery items for those in homes, struggling financially).
  • West Tamar bakery run (bakery items for those in homes, struggling financially).
