Building Fund

Shekinah House's goal is to expand our services by introducing supported short-term accommodation. We are looking at different buildings locally that have the potential of being converted into an accommodation facility. This approach is based on our vision of helping those who are currently homeless or who would be exiting prison or rehabilitation into homelessness, using aspects of a Housing First model. For clients who are accepted into our future planned short-term accommodation, with their consent and in collaboration, we will develop detailed individualised case plans to outline their pathway to sustainable accommodation and financial stability. The individuals who seek short term accommodation with Shekinah House will need to agree to a comprehensive case plan, including an agreement to seek and undertake services and support from other organisations.
